That time of Year!

It is now "that time of year"!! The time when the kids are getting ready to start school and everything and everyone is going is opposite directions.
Leandra had her first volleyball scrimmage on Monday night...don't ask me how they did, it was late and I was worried about her being packed for harmony camp. She got home late Monday night and had to meet the bus at 5:30 am to leave for harmony camp on Tuesday. They are at OSU in Columbus for four days. She said she was pretty exhausted come Tuesday night. She actually called me today (I talked to her on the computer last night)!! She has a tracfone with her, so I'm not too worried about her getting left somewhere all by herself.
Kidz Club starts tonight. It is a kids church club that they hold every Wednesday night during the school season. Bubba is excited because he is now old enough to go. They are starting it out this year with a two day event and they all get t-shirts at the end.
Our church is holding a camp out on Friday night. I can't wait!! Even though we won't get there til late because we have to pick kids up from harmony camp after they perform Friday night, I am looking forward to spending time with everyone.
Well, got to go. God Bless

How Time Flies!

I can't believe that almost a full month has gone by since my last post! When I first started I posted something almost every day, then it got to be every other day, then maybe once a week, now I'm lucky to sit down once a month to update everyone!!
The kids are enjoying their last days of summer break before school starts on August 24. I can't believe that Leandra will be a freshman, it seems like just yesterday that she was starting kindergarten. But it is Bubba that will be in kindergarten this year (and yes, I am a wreck just thinking of my 1st and last babies at those stages of their lives). Mikaela will be in the 3rd grade and she found out that she has Mrs. Adams who is one of her best friends' moms and our pastors wife. Teanna will be in the 5th grade, but we haven't found out yet who is her teacher. I'm not even sure which school she will be in since they can't seem to make up their minds on what buildings they will use for the different grades!
I have been working at the Bryan Senior Center with the kitchen staff. It is really a good job, if I had to be anywhere, I am glad that I was assigned to that location. We prepare the meal for the day and the meals for the meals on wheels program for the homebound seniors. We also serve the seniors and then clean up. The people I work with are really nice and I feel that it has been a very good experience! I am there for one more week, but I think after that I will try to go in when I have a free morning/afternoon and help out. Next month I will be going to school from 4-9pm at 4 county. I am really excited, because no matter what I will have transferable skills and my confidence in different areas will be higher.
Sports are getting ready to start and our lives will once again revolve around which child needs to be where and when and who is going. Leandra is in volleyball and she made the JV team!!! She is really excited because she is the only freshman that moved up! We are really proud of her. And Teanna decided that she wanted to be a cheerleader for the 5th-6th grade football team. Luckily their games are only on Saturdays, but that is every Saturday for like two months! I will be emailing schedules out this morning.
Well, I am going to get out of here for now. God Bless you all and have a great day/week/month...lol
