News

Well, my week has gotten off to a rough start!! I think I have everything under control at the moment......at least I don't feel overwhelmed by it all!!!!!!
Yesterday, we took the kids to the fair as soon as I got home from work (around 2:30 pm) and didn't get home until almost 8 pm. When we got home I had a couple of messages on the answering maching from the woman at one stop who is helping get my classes at Four County...and believe me, I was not too thrilled with what I heard. They had cancelled my class, but they had another class that I could enroll in.....it starts WEDNESDAY!!!!! She said that I needed to call the woman (Amy) at Four County between 1 and 4 pm and let them know if I wanted to attend the new class. The thing is Renee (the woman at One Stop) was out of her office today, so I couldn't just call her and find out what I needed to do about the work hours I am scheduled for through Human Services. And the woman (Marleen) from Human Services is only in her office from 8-11 am. So by the time I spoke to Amy and found out any details about the class, it was too late to call Marleen!! I was a wreck all day because I was also thinking about having to get to a dentist appointment with the girls at 4 pm today and get Le back here to go to her game when the bus was leaving at 4:40 pm. And I didn't want to reschedule because it takes months sometimes to get an appointment!
Well, I talked to Amy a couple of times and felt better about the new class that they wanted to enroll me in, so I told her to sign me up and I would be there in the morning. The classes are Monday and Wednesdays from 9 am - 4 pm. I have an appointment with Marleen (made previously to go over paperwork) on Thursday, so I will just call her tomorrow and let her know about the change and if she doesn't like it ...OH WELL! I will probably have to work a few hours at the Senior Center, but it shouldn't be too bad and I don't mind working there as long as I have plenty of time to do any homework.
The dilemma about the dentist was solved by Aaron and I each driving over there and since we got there early they were able to get Le in first and he brought her back right away and she had plenty of time to make the bus!
I will let you all know how it all comes out tomorrow at school.
God Bless
PS....I also solves my problem of how my house will look in the evenings :)

Our Schedule

Well, the kids have now been in school for two weeks and I think we are getting into a regular schedule of everyone working/going and coming from school/practices/etc....
I have been working back at the Bryan Senior Center and will be there til the 16th because my school doesn't start til the 19th and I still am required to have worked so many hours a week. I usually leave around 7:30 am and get home around 2:45 pm. Next week I am going to go in at 7 am and work til 2 pm. The kids are usually up and dressed before I leave for school and then Aaron makes sure that they all leave on time. I call at 11 am to make sure Chad is awake and he has Bubba eat lunch and gets him off to school. After school they get home and I go through their agendas one at a time and see what homework they have and make sure they sit down and do it. After they are done, Aaron or I will check it and they put it away and their bags go in the hall closet. Everything is ready to go for the next day. After homework they do their assigned chores. We have a dry-erase board that I write a list of each child and one thing they need to do for the evening. After that is done they have plenty of time to go play and drive me crazy!! :)
I am kind of worried about what will happen once I start school because I will be gone when they get home from school and Aaron isn't much on keeping with schedules or paying attention that they aren't doing what they should be doing. It will probably be fine, but I am an organizational freak and I hate not being the one here in the evenings. I just have this awful feeling that the kids are going to start coming to me in the morning saying they didn't do their homework or something and I am just going to freak out! Not to mention what my house is going to look like in the mornings!!!! My family just does not know how to pick up after themselves if mom isn't there to say "OK, it's almost bedtime, you pick that up, and you pick that up, now go get your pj's on"!! And maybe it is just the thought of not being in control anymore, that I have to relenquish that responsibility to Aaron, but I am a wreck over it. Please just pray for my peace of mind.
God Bless and I will (hopefully) update you all soon!

School has Started

Well, school has started and with that comes all the activities. Teanna is in the 5th-6th grade cheerleading and has practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays and games every Saturday starting September 17. Leandra is on the JV volleyball team and has practice almost every night and/or games. On game nights it is late when they get home because the varsity team plays the best 3 out of 5 games ....points to 25 each game! It is usually close to 10-11 pm when Le gets home on those nights. But we are very proud of her because she is the only freshman to make the JV team!!!
It is Wednesday night and S.W.A.T kids are here. It wasn't too bad last week....they sat and played cards most of the evening til it was time to go. It probably won't be bad until after volleyball and football season when all the kids will show up.
Got to go....bye for now
